Rotary Club of Ludlow Earns Rotary International's Club Excellence Award

LUDLOW, MA — The Rotary Club of Ludlow has been honored with the 2025-26 Club Excellence Award from Rotary International, the highest recognition a Rotary club can receive, for its service, growth, and commitment to the community it calls home.

The award, signed by Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo and Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair Holger Knaack, recognizes the club "for fostering a positive experience for its members and reflecting the values of Rotary." Fewer than a small fraction of Rotary's more than 46,000 clubs worldwide earn this distinction in a given year. Clubs qualify only by setting ambitious goals across membership, service, Rotary Foundation giving, youth programs, and public image at the start of the Rotary year, and then actually achieving them and reporting the results to Rotary International.

"This award belongs to every member of our club and to the entire Ludlow community," said Tony Sanches, President of the Rotary Club of Ludlow. "Our members show up, roll up their sleeves, and get to work. Rotary International noticed what Ludlow already knows: this is a club that delivers for its neighbors."

EPIC Day of Service – Ludlow Clean Up Day

On Saturday morning, Ludlow showed once again what community pride looks like in action. Despite cool spring air and a busy weekend across town, volunteers gathered at Veterans Memorial Park for the annual Town-Wide Community Clean Up Day, held in partnership with the Town of Ludlow, the VFW, American Legion, Ludlow Police Department, and local civic groups. This year’s event also served as the Rotary EPIC Day of Service, connecting our club to thousands of Rotarians across the country participating in hands-on service projects on the same day.
